About Allison

Allison McElfresh is Co- Owner and Artistic Director of The

Dance Coalition and is accredited certification through the

Ohio Board of Education as an NFHS Head Dance

Educator, National Dance Risk Management,

National Dance Council of America, ACE, and DEA. Allison is also a member of the 

American College Dance Association a carries philosophies in

wellness of dance technique/choreography, fostering self potentials, and increasing longevity of the

dancer's art form. Using both her studies in BS of Secondary

Education from GCU, AA from the University of Cincinnati and a proud diploma of School for the Performing Arts, and CCM, she connects past professional roles from Phoenix Dance Cooperative, School of Ballet AZ, Ballet AZ, AZ School for the Arts, and Scottsdale Community College

 to facilitate dance programs. Her teaching methods of

scientific dexterity, certified technical dance training forms,

classical qualities, contemporary dynamics, Awareness

Through Movement, and American Ballet Theater

curriculum have excelled within all her students and

families in AZ, CA, MI, SD, NV, IL, IN, and currently in OH.

In 2016, she partnered with another professional

dancer Monica Chaney, and became game changers in

Cincinnati inventing The Dance Coalition.  

Today,

        Allison continues to train all levels of dancers in both recreation and 

competitive, undergraduate and graduate, leads/consults with the first

Teacher Training Dance program in Cincinnati, and guest

                            teaches in outreach programs across the tristate to build brilliant dancers using The Dance Coalition methods. 

Today she has been invited to develop educational proposals with the National Dance Educators Organization.
