Monica Chaney
Monica began her dance career like every other tutu-toddler. From age 3 to 18 Monica danced and competed around the tri-state area and nationally. At 16 years of age, Monica attained her first professional dance job at Kings Island as a dancer in "Flashback Totally 80's" and "Don't stop the music". After high school Monica followed a talent scholarship to Ohio University where she worked towards a BFA in dance. She soon realized that Cincinnati was where her heart really was and so, in the Winter of 2011 Monica transferred to Northern Kentucky University to study business and dance. It was here that she was offered a spot on the Northern Kentucky University Dance Troupe where she made the connections of a lifetime and had a blast performing in the city she loves. At NKU Monica received her Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurship, a minor in Business Administration, and a minor in Dance. During her college career, Monica decided to undergo a reparative ankle surgery. Through recovery, she set a goal for herself to audition for the Cincinnati Ben-Gal cheerleaders just 4 months after her surgery. With physical therapy and a great deal of training, she made the squad and cheered on the sidelines of Paul Brown Stadium for two football seasons! Shortly into this adventure, the calling to open her very one studio become too clear to ignore any longer. After meeting Allison through a dance coaching position at a local high school, God made it evident to the both of them that it was time to pursue the dream, together. Thus, The DANCE COALITION was born.
